Today (6 November 2024), Mr. Phrits Wacharasindhu, MP of the Prachachon Party, spoke about the case where the Election Commission (EC) prepared a plan for the election of the Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) president and PAO council, setting the PAO election date as Saturday, 1 February 2025, and called for a review, saying that there was concern that the EC agreed to hold the PAO local election on Saturday for two reasons: 1. Many people working in the country, factory workers or private companies, tend to work on Saturdays more than Sundays, which may cause obstacles in taking time off to exercise their right to vote, and 2. Some people may work in a different province from their home province where they are eligible to vote, which may affect their travel back to exercise their right to vote.
